Our Founders

Robyn Miller, Ph.D., Founder

Robyn Miller, Ph.D., Founder, is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Bethesda, MD since 2002 and is also licensed by PsyPact since 2021. 

Robyn practices from a psychodynamic and relational perspective and treats teens and adults.  Robyn specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, eating issues, menopause concerns, and life transitions. 

Robyn received a BA in Child Study from Tufts University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester. Robyn completed a predoctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts Mental Health Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University Health Services. 

In over 20 years of clinical practice, Robyn has provided training, supervision, coverage, and Practice Executor consultation and services and she has written on this topic.

Evan Forman, Ph.D., Co-Founder

Evan Forman, Ph.D., Co-Founder, is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Philadelphia, PA who has been both a private practitioner and an academic researcher since 2002. His specialty areas include the treatment of depression and anxiety, as well as eating and weight disorders.

He received a B.A. from Cornell University and Ph.D. at the University of Rochester. He completed his residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School with a specialty in traumatology and PTSD, and a fellowship and associateship at the University of Pennsylvania and the Beck Institute. He was named Fellow of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) in 2017, and Fellow of The Obesity Society (FTOS) in 2016. He is a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Drexel University, and a national leader in developing, improving, and evaluating psychological treatments.

He has been funded by the National Institutes of Health for over 12 years, conducting groundbreaking research developing innovative cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based treatments, and on the use of technology to facilitate behavior change and health promotion. He has served as chair of the Committee of Science and Practice for APA Division 12 (Society for Clinical Psychology), and in that role also served as editor of the APA Division 12 Evidence-Based Treatments website.

He has won a number of prestigious awards, authored over 175 scientific papers, and several books including a clinician guide and workbook called Effective Weight Loss: An Acceptance-based Behavior Approach for Oxford Press’s Treatments that Work series.
